Colombo, May 4 (The reporter) – China has pledged its utmost support and cooperation to finalize Sri Lanka’s debt restructuring process, according to State Minister of Finance Shehan Semasinghe.
Semasinghe confirmed a fruitful meeting with China’s Vice Minister of Finance, Liao Min, during the ADB annual meeting in Tbilisi, Georgia.
“I had a productive meeting with the Vice Minister of Finance of China, Liao Min during the ADB annual meeting in Tbilisi, Georgia. At this discussion, China assured its fullest support and cooperation to conclude the debt restructuring process in Sri Lanka. Further, China reaffirmed its steadfast support to Sri Lanka on all fronts,” he said in a message posted on X.
