Colombo, June 28 (The reporter) – The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) will soon introduce a new salary structure, a performance-based incentive system, and an updated promotion process for its employees.
Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera announced on X that these changes were discussed during a recent meeting with CEB trade unions.
The discussions included revising the current approved cadre of over 26,000 to limit future recruitment.
Other topics covered were the structure of the reforms, timelines for implementation, appointments to successor companies, human resource management, salary structures, and policy and management decisions.
