Colombo has been announced as one of the initial destinations to be served by Emirates’ new A350 aircraft, scheduled to commence operations in September 2024, the airline confirmed yesterday.
Emirates will introduce its A350 aircraft on its fourth daily service to Colombo, EK654/655, starting from January 1, 2025.
Emirates plans to integrate its new A350s into its fleet, with 10 expected to be operational by March 31, 2025. The airline aims to utilize these aircraft on routes to nine different destinations, showcasing its latest cabin offerings to passengers.
The initial batch of 10 Emirates A350 aircraft will feature three cabin classes: 32 Business Class seats, 21 Premium Economy seats, and 259 Economy Class seats. These planes will primarily serve short to medium-haul routes within the Emirates network, with Bahrain as the inaugural destination.
As Emirates introduces its first A350s into service, passengers will have the opportunity to experience the highly regarded Premium Economy product and innovative Business Class cabins on select short and medium-haul flights across the Middle East, GCC, West Asia, and Europe.
