Colombo, April 15 (The reporter) – Health authorities reported a significant decrease in accidents during the festive season. This is a positive development, especially considering the usual increase in firecracker-related incidents.
According to Deputy Director of the Colombo National Hospital Dr. Rukshan Bellana, there were no admissions for firecracker injuries during this period.
However, there were three minor injuries reported at the National Hospital’s outpatient department. Additionally, a small number of minor motor vehicle accidents and domestic accidents, including falls, were reported.
