GCE O/L Tuition Classes to Cease from Midnight April 30: Exams Department

Colombo, April 25 (The reporter) – The Department of Examinations has announced the prohibition of coaching or tuition classes for candidates preparing for the 2023 (2024) G.C.E. Ordinary Level (O/L) Examination, effective from April 30 until the conclusion of the exams.

Commissioner General of Examinations H.J.M.C. Amith Jayasundara stated that all necessary arrangements have been finalized for the examination scheduled from May 6 to May 15, to be conducted across 3,527 examination centers nationwide.

He emphasized that activities such as organizing subject-oriented lectures, seminars, or classes, printing examination-oriented materials, and distributing similar questions/answers via electronic media, posters, and banners until June 1, the last day of the examinations, are strictly prohibited.
