HVA Foods PLC, a member of the George Steuart Group, has announced two new additions to its Board of Directors.
Graham Stork has assumed the role of Director and Chief Executive Officer, while Samantha Ranatunga has joined as Independent Non-Executive Director and Chairman.
Heladiv, the globally renowned flagship brand of HVA Foods PLC, is registered in over 40 countries. HVA Foods PLC, a dynamic subsidiary within the George Steuart conglomerate founded by Rohan Fernando, is set to benefit from the expertise of Samantha Ranatunga and Graham Stork, both respected professionals in their respective fields.
Bringing a wealth of experience from various industries, Samantha Ranatunga previously served as Managing Director of CIC Holdings PLC from 2010 to 2019. He also held directorial positions in major subsidiaries of CIC, including Chemanex PLC and Link Naturals Ltd. His background extends to Banking and Finance, with a stint on the Board of Directors of Seylan Bank PLC. Additionally, he has leadership roles in Agro-technology companies and serves as Chairman of the Agricultural Modernisation Taskforce of the Presidential Secretariat since 2023.
Graham Stork’s career highlights include roles at Expoteas Ceylon Ltd., Hemas Commodities Ltd., and a notable 17-year tenure at George Steuart Teas. His expertise ranges from traditional tea to herbs and flavors, including an entrepreneurial venture with The Herbal Storage Ltd. He co-founded Marah Trading Ltd., the first tea packing factory in Sri Lanka to obtain FSSC certification. Notably, he has contributed to the advancement of Sri Lanka’s tea industry through Australian Tea Masters – Ceylon Ltd.
These strategic appointments underscore HVA Foods PLC’s dedication to fortifying its leadership team with seasoned professionals, poised to guide the company to new heights in the tea and beverage sector.
