Colombo, April 28 (The reporter) – A man from Mullaitivu District has asserted that he is the tallest individual in Sri Lanka.
As reported by the BBC Sinhala Service, Gunasingham Kasenthiran, a former member of the proscribed Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) residing in Kaiveli, Puthukudiruppu, stands at seven feet two inches in height.
He has expressed difficulties arising from his exceptional height. Kasenthiran finds it challenging to find appropriate footwear within Sri Lanka that fits his feet, often resorting to acquiring them from abroad.
Kasenthiran, a father of two, faces travel challenges due to his stature. He cannot comfortably travel on buses without securing a seat and must pre-book for long-distance journeys.
As a trishaw driver, Kasenthiran operates his vehicle while bending his neck to accommodate his height.
