Ruwanwella, August 18 (The Reporter) – Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa pledged today to abolish the Executive Presidency if he is elected President next month.
Premadasa made this pledge during a rally in Ruwanwella.
“Several past Presidents have promised to abolish the Executive Presidency but failed to follow through. I will do it and introduce a system based on the legislature,” he stated.
