Sri Lanka Telecommunications Bill Passed in Parliament

Colombo, July 09 (The reporter) – The Sri Lanka Telecommunications (Amendment) Bill was passed without a vote in Parliament today with amendments.

Following the debate on the second reading of the Bill, amendments were added during the committee stage.

The Minister of Technology presented this bill to Parliament on 10 May 2024 to amend the Sri Lanka Telecommunications Act No. 25 of 1991, marking the first amendment to this Act in 28 years.
