Colombo, April 15 (The reporter) – At least ten people were killed in eight road accidents that occurred within the past 24 hours in various parts of the country, according to police.
Four fatalities resulted from two separate accidents in Pussellawa and Hali-Ela. The remaining six deaths occurred in six individual accidents across Mahiyangana, Kirindiwela, Ambalantota, Pugoda, Matara, and Thanamalwila.
Police Media Spokesman DIG Nihal Thalduwa reported that five of the eight accidents were caused by vehicles skidding off the roads.
